The flavors of Yucatán were available this month in Mexico’s capital thanks to the Hacienda Teya Restaurant that presented a selection of regional dishes, to the delight of patrons at the Polanco area’s
Hacienda de los Morales, which hosted the event for the Yucatecan eatery.
Every September the Hacienda de los Morales, famous for its ample of menu of Mexican and international dishes, invites different restaurants from around the country to share a sampling of their own menus.
From Septiembre 5 to 24 Hacienda Teya offered Mexico City residents tradicional dishes like panuchos, salbutes, papadzules, longaniza de Valladolid, lime soup, cream of cilantro, queso relleno, cochinita pibil, pescado pibil, poc chuc and Yucatán beef fillet. Desserts included dulce de papaya with cheese, coconut manjar blanco and caballeros pobres.
Verónica Cárdenas considers that the Hacienda Teya’s long success is due to the high quality of the food they prepare and their adherence to authentic Yucatecan recipes and preparation techniques. |
